SCHA Travel Grant Process

  1. Annually, the SCHA Executive Board will review the budget to determine whether sufficient funds exist to support travel grants to the Annual SCHA Meeting or other meeting that benefits or enhances SCHA.

  2. If funds exist, information concerning the application and submittal process, pertinent deadlines, and notification mechanism will be provided to the membership via the SCHA website.

  3. Applicants should complete the SCHA Education Grant Application Form and submit to the Chair of the Nominating Committee. A travel expense budget should accompany the application.

  4. Strongest consideration will be given to individuals with:

    • Who have not been able to attend in the past
    • From smaller schools or schools with small travel budgets
    • Presenting a program or poster but cannot afford to travel
  5. The Nominating Committee will review all applications and present their recommendations to the SCHA Executive Board for consideration and final approval.

  6. The SCHA President will notify awardees no later than one month prior to the upcoming meeting.
