The Sunbelt Directors Meeting will be held in Charleston, SC, July 21 - 23, 2010. The target audience for this meeting is student health services administrators who are interested in sharing experiences and concerns about college health in an informal setting. This year's meeting is being sponsored by the Southern College Health Association and co-hosted by Wake Forest University and the University of South Carolina.
Agenda/Call for Topics: As usual, the focus of the meeting will be on items of current and future interest to college health. Collective agenda setting and sharing concerns, knowledge and solutions among peers are hallmarks of the Sunbelt Meeting. Toward this end, participants are asked to identify agenda topics, agree to make presentations or lead discussions. Accommodations: The meeting will be held at The Mills House located in the heart of downtown Charleston at 115 Meeting Street. Rooms have been reserved at a special price of $169 per night. This special rate is guaranteed only until June 21, 2010.
Transportation: Charleston is served by several major airlines. The airport is located in North Charleston, 12 miles from downtown. Best bet on transportation from/to the airport is a cab at around $30.
Golf Tournament: The Bob Watson Golf Tournament is Wednesday, July 21 at Wild Dunes. First tee off (single tee start) is 1:01. All attendees interested in playing golf, please mark your registration form in the appropriate box and you will be contacted by Jen Swails via email with details of the golf outing prior to your arrival. Green fees ($70 plus tax) are in addition to regular registration fees. Individuals are responsible for transportation to and from the course.
Registration: The registration fee for the 2010 meeting is $90. Check should be made payable to Southern College Health Association. Deadline for registration is July 7, 2010.
